Everywhere I look I find the HC-5 cheaper or the same price as the HC-3. I would have thought that HC-3 would be little cheaper now that both the 5 and 7 are out. But I can't find it for less than $989!

I can get the HC-5 for $808. What is going on?

If in between silly April Fool's jokes anybody has an answer--I'd be appreciative :)
Just bumping the post.

Sometimes it can be a factor that once a model is discontinued prices go up (or do not drop as much as what would be assumed) because people may want the model and increase demand - for instance if you have money tied up in a housing and something happens, it may be impossible to find a replacement so you get a "just in case" backup. Spec wise it seems they are the same (though I have not done a full A/B on differences)
