I am a relative new diver and have been hesitant on purchasing a wetsuit. I recently was given an aquaflex by Aqualung to try on and it fit like a glove, but pricey at $350 for a 7 mil. THEN, I find XSScuba online and I LOVE your prices on your wetsuits. My only issue is is that I have been having a very hard time finding a suit to fit me properly. I talked to a sales man about the fit, and we did a comparison of both suits. My question is XS gives a waist size and I want to make sure it will fit as well in my hips and legs as the aquaflex suit before I order or purchase anything. I am looking at a 12 in the aquaflex, which fits perfect - how can I tell if your suit will fit the same? I am getting in a time situation and need to make a decision relatively quickly. Thanks for your advice!

Hi IDG:
Thank you for your interest in our PyroStretch wetsuits. We have a sizing chart on our website here: http://xsscuba.com/size_chart_womens.html The PyroStretch wetsuits have excellent stretch (and warmth) which allow for good range in sizing. Though there is no subsitute to trying on the wetsuit to compare fit. You can seach for a local XS Scuba Dealer here: http://xsscuba.com/locator/index.php Or order online with www.scuba.com or other online dealer. Ask about their return policy if you're unhappy with the fit before ordering.

Thanks for the reply Mike, but perhaps my question was lost in the translation. Can you give me an idea what the hip sizing for a size 12 would be? I did the comparison but it is hard to determine the hip and leg sizing to your particular chart. I am a hard fit due to the size of my legs being larger and more athletic than most women my size. That is my main concern. Also, are the suits a 4 way or 2 way stretch?

IDG... a note to help, and maybe save you some $$:

Supposedly, the Aqualung Aquaflex suits are made of the same material and sizing as the Henderson Hyperstretch. However, when I tried on the Aquaflex, I found that it fits a tiny bit different in my upper abs/back (too big), but "just like" the HH in the legs/hips. I too have a terrible time finding a wetsuit that fits, so I feel your pain! LOL Have you tried on the Henderson Hyperstretch? If you can find a good fit in the Hyperstretch, I know of an internet order place that you can get one at a discounted price. They actually do alot of Ebay sales, but allowed me to just order from them, sans auction, and they ship everything with a tracking number. I just picked up a 5 mil HH, brand new, for $258. Let me know if you would like more info.

If the Henderson fits you, the pyrostretch will too. I've tried on both and I LOVE my pyrostretch. You really can't beat it for the price.
