Returned recently from Madagascar from our work on the Serapis project.
Stayed on Il St Marie, where the suspect wreck is located.
The Serapis was taken from the British by John Paul Jones and is as high profile as just about any wreck out there.
Wreck site was sweet, copper sheathing, mixed ballast, cannon and anchor an associated artifacts!
Great year for the project
We left not long before the recent coup d etat that is going on there now.
My best wishes to my students and their families down there.

Our next rip is slated for June to Tobago to work on the 1677 wrecks in the harbour.
These were located in the 1990s during some survey work for the government. If you would like to check the trip
