I am looking forward to seeing some of those ships off the coast of So.CA. What should i do before i go? Are there any off the coast of Long Beach to Ventura?

I live in Southern California and frequent the wrecks around here. There is however a book called 'Guide to Shipwreck Diving in California' by Darren Douglas. Forward specific requests or inquiries to me here and I'll get you all the info you need.
