I'm not sure about the Russians but I know that the Americans sunk all the Japanese submarines in REALLY deep water after they'd finished with them....so that the Russians (and probably anyone else! ) wouldn't get a look at them. There's a bunch off the coast of Nagasaki Prefecture near Sasebo. They're far too deep to be diveable. They were by far the most advanced subs in use during the 2WW by anyone.....S. starfish:80 meters... why are all the cool wrecks so deep?
