Shallow, eel-grass prowling dives can be amazing. I did one at night at Redondo Beach a week ago where I found THREE species I'd never seen before. "Beauty and mystery amid the ordinary," indeed!
 
Yep. I did 90 minutes there and didn't want to leave but I began feeling guilty about the rest of the group :) I would definitely go back for more.

Videography is fascinating (to me) because it is all about the subject, perspective and creative editing, not so much about technical F stops etc... which I suck at. It also keeps me engaged in the hobby post dive. Every time I shoot something and look at it later I think about how I could capture it better or differently so I always feel challenged and excited for the next dive. And then there is the jump from just videoing a dive to trying to tell some sort of story which I'm still a baby at, but enjoy immensely.
