If anyone would like to become a member, send me a PM or email with your
Name, City, State, Phone and Email address.
(We decided to eliminate street address from the roster for privacy concerns.)

An email forward will be set up for you, your_screen_name@wreckvalley.com.
Any mail sent to your wreck valley address will be forwarded to the address you provide.

All new members are associate members until they dive with a full member,
if you have already done so, please let me know in your note.
This is to try to keep people honest. Anybody can post on the internet,
but not everybody can meet and go diving with a current member.
On the roster, full members are denoted in black and associates in gray.
Also, on the roster, all member names are individual email links
with an entire membership email link, in blue, at the end.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Remember, the club is in its infancy.
There are no officers or dues or etc.
There really are no rules, except for the ones stated above.
Feel free to voice your opinion, ideas and suggestions on the forum.

Our mission is simple, to promote diving in the NY, NJ and PA area.

I look forward to diving with you all soon.

Who was it that the first "full" member had to go dive with to become a full member??

For a club in it's infancy the rule doesn't make any sense....

unless your trying to be exclusive.

well it is a dive club ... I don`t think it`s unreasonable to expect the members to dive with the club ....

Three States is a pretty large area.
It's very unlikely that all the possible members would meet.

though it would be a lot of fun. :)

It just seems that you are limiting membership to the center of the tri state area, or those willing to travel there.

I might run into you at Dutch Springs sometime, But it's very unlikely that I'll ever be near NYC, Long Island or the Jersey Shore I'm sure there are others in the three states that will never travel to the center of the tri state area.

but then again ...who knows

As Xjae stated, its basically to promote diving in the area. I can see myself meeting alot of the members at Dutch Springs - I'm looking forward to that in '04.

Good question...

We actually had an initial outing at Dutch Springs in October.
Dutch Springs
Which turned out the first full members.

There were members diving every weekend after that, till the season ended.
I imagine, once spring arrives, it won't take long before there are more full members than not.

The rule is just there to try to weed out cyber quacks.

DS has season passes for $120 good for all year. Good deal if you are diving there all the time! like me :)
