WWII Memorial

Anybody else been out here to the WWII memorial in Bedford, Va? I was there today and was impressed with the design of the memorial. . . But that was all I was impressed with.

Anyone else been there have any input? I am going to try and get some of my pics on pictiger than link them in we shall see how that goes

any way the above picyures are from the memorial i took almost 50 pictures but tried to pick only the best ones

I had to shrink the pictures down so. . . and I am using a point and shoot so be nice

I've not been there yet, but would like to go. Does the memorial only list those who were killed in combat, or are wounded Soldiers listed as well?

I believe just those killed, even with just those killed the panels covered a large area.

If you get the chance alot of thought went into the building of it apparently the large overlord arch is 44 ft 6 in tall, the lady at the gift shop said "when you pay for a guided tour you get all those tid-bits of info" I choose the self-guided tour, anyway the 44ft 6in is in reference to june being the sixth month of 1944. . .
