X-Scooter Demo Day
This was discussed a couple of weeks ago but this is a reminder to come out to Lake Rawlings, VA on Saturday (this Saturday), Feb 26th to check out and ride one of the new X-Scooters that have been widely discussed lately. Agenda is at the bottom of this message.
Ben McGeever (the X-Scooter design engineer) and Brando will be bringing 6 new X-Scooters for you to check out and take on a test ride in the quarry.
Non-divers can get into the quarry free, diving will cost $17.50. However, lunch and door prizes will be provided free courtesy of the Dive Xtras crew.
NOTE - Make sure you bring your C-card if you plan on getting wet...the quarry will not let you dive without it.
Water temp is 45 and the forecast for Saturday is 51 degrees, partly cloudy with only a 20% chance of precipitation.
Please post a response to this thread if you are coming so that we know how many to expect.
Agenda:
10:00 a.m. Sign in and register for door prizes.
10:30 - 12:00 A discussion and close, hands-on look at the X-scooter (there will also be a couple of other types of scooters there to look at also). The X-men will also go over some basic riding techniques and safety issues.
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (free)
1:00 - 3:00 Hit the water and finally try out an X-Scooter for yourself.
3:00 - 4:00 Recover and move to the Nottaway restaurant (nearby)
4:00 - 5:00 Eat, drink and be merry...and give away the door prizes.
(Schedule may be slightly modified depending on the turnout)
