XS Spring straps for jet fins

Hello,

I intend to purchase a pair of XS spring straps for my jetfins. I have XL size jetfins, and my shoe size is EU 43 (US 9). I wear them with 5mm wet boots (Tusa Tabata USA, Inc. : IMPREX 5MM DIVE BOOT [DB-4000] ).

With the rubber strap correctly adjusted, I have measured and found the following results:
- 33 cm - 12.99" from pin to pin (precise measurement between the pins where the buckle attaches to the fin)
- 26 cm - 10.23" estimated (guess from pictures) spring length if I deduce the XS buckle length as I imagine it from web pictures.

The problem is that I'm not sure what is the size of the XS spring straps (8", 10", 12") - is it pin to pin, or just the spring length? Is the spring in relaxed or stretched state?

What would be the right size that when wearing it (spring is stretched) it reaches 33 cm (12.99") inches from attaching pin to attaching pin? (as the red line in this photo: Picasa Web Albums - Victor )

I had to go the LDS and try some different size springs on my TwinJets to make the decision. The correct size for your foot will not necessarily match the fin size.

Obviously I don't expect the strap to be XL as the fins (I oscillate between FP-08 and FP-10). The LDS is not an option - no diving shop in Romania sells XS Scuba currently.

Maybe somebody from XS, or somebody else with the same fin&foot size could help me though.

I'm pretty sure that it is the spring size... relaxed.

I have received the answer to my direct XS contact form question. The answer was 10", which I ordered.
