Heads up...if you are heading from South American to most countries in Central America, you will need a yellow fever vaccination certificate...an international certificate valid for 10 days prior to boarding your flight to wherever you're heading in Central America. If you don't have it, you will be denied boarding unless you happen to be at an airport where you can buy the bogus certificate airlines do accept.
Here's a list of countries considered to be at risk in South America.
