Im looking at an entry level set-up, and the canon a720is with the canon housing is what im looking at. Will the ys-60 work with it?

Probably not the best coice on the market, but yes you can get it to work if you get a Heinrichs-Weikamp Optical Digital Adapter. I bought a YS60 & the HW adapter for my coolpix P3 and it's been a great lto get started using stobes without spending a small fortune (the whole setup strobe, base tray, arm & adapter cost me under $300).

If your YS-60 is the S type (has a Sea&Sea plug onthe end of the cable) then you'll need THIS one. If it is the N type (with a Nikonos plug on the end of the cable) then you'll need THIS one.
