What's not to love:wink:

Judging strictly from the feedback on this thread, I think you have failed?

He has failed.....miserably!

Thanks John!:santa4:

One little snippet that Mr. Gentile uses to discredit the circular run hypothesis is the damage to the top of the sub...I think near the bow...not sure...If the sub was sunk by its own torpedo then there is a good possibility that in depth charging a dead target the damage could have been done by a depth charge subsequent to the 869's demise....

That does seem rather obvious, as if GG believes that a sub can only be bombed once and then never touched again. Even the crew of the Koiner and Crow surmised that they were bombing an old wreck.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen someone make such a complete and utter dipstick of themselves as has occured in this thread.

I thought I'd seen it all with a couple of earlier members who don't appear to be with us anymore but.......... :11:

I guess it doesn't really matter to what heights someone will take something - someone else will surely surpass them.

John,
Welcome to Scuba Board, the VAST majority of us are delighted to see you here. You showed an amazing amount of patience in your replies, way more than I would have been inclined to. Please do not let the antics of one or a few individuals discourage you from visiting!

Tom

1. Bill Nagle discovered the wreck of the U-869
2. Mark McKellar furnished the identity
3. Barbara Lander and John Yurga conducted the bulk of the research
4. Harold Moyers ascertained how the U-869 was sunk
5. Chatterton and Kohler took the credit, then made a career out of reputations that were based upon a foundation that was either faked, filched, or fictitious.

:coffee:

Sorry Tonka. It worked great for Tom Cruise in "A Few Good Men". But I guess you need actual facts of wrong-doing in order to badger a confession out of a witness. You got yours handed to you, and that's "the truth".

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of it, but that's just part of this board.

Chatterton,

I've a lot of respect for you as a diver and for your celebrity achievements. But I respect you more now as a person.

So, Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Chatterton,

I've a lot of respect for you as a diver and for your celebrity achievements. But I learned in this thread that you deserve a great deal of respect as a person and human being

Those of us who have been fortunate enough to be around John are not fortunate because of his celebrity...We are fortunate because of what you said above. One day you may very well have the same fortune...Think of close personal friends you enjoy being around that make your day a little brighter when you are in contact with them and you will get a good picture of John Chatterton....

Once again....Well...Not so sure about a "good" picture:D
