I will not go into the F'ing transmission troubles I had AGAIN getting to the dive pond!!!!! :(

All in all a great dive day....just a sour car day.

:)

Last time my transmission went out it was going to cost more than that car was worth to fix. :( Yucky problem, Alan. I'm really sorry you're having to deal with that.

I am glad you got to get on out to the lake- I was supposed to go this weekend but it didn't work out. However, my Mother's Day was really, really nice- we got to see lots of family this weekend, and spent lots of time with my children and grandchildren. I'm blessed to have a family that enjoys being with one another. I know everyone's not so lucky.

I will post as soon as I know for sure I'll get to go to the pond. After school lets out I want to do some weekday diving, probably Fridays if we can get Robert to open. :)

Hi Swampers,

Who from Austin wants to go up Friday June 20th early AM to get set up and get a dive in to start the weekend early and get back to Austin Sunday night for a full 3 day weekend at CSSP?

I have talked to Zinc and he is likely to go up with me, if so we could take 2 more people if interested in splitting the gas costs.

Let me know. I am taking a vacation day to make sure I can be there for the weekend.

Regards,

Shawn O'Shea

Tell Zinc he'd better show up with hard copies of that DIMWIT Manual. :D

Okay, I'm scared to de-rail this thread, but could somebody point me back to the original DIMWIT thread? I've been trying to figure out the acronym for the last couple of days.

Back on topic, I'll probably show up late PM on Friday. My goal will be to make it past Dallas prior to rush hour. Anybody coming from Weatherford / West Fort Worth wanting to ride share / split gas, let me know. My current plan is to return late Saturday, but could probably be convinced to stay until Sunday.

Smart idea, Fridays are usually so nice out there, with very few people diving and the best vis of the week usually (before classes on Sat.) I plan to be out there late morning on the 20th.

MY theory is that DIMWIT stands for Doing It My Way In Texas. There are some splitters out there (and I would call them Communists but I might get in trouble for that) that are of the opinion that it stands for Diving In Muddy Water In Texas. My definition prevents me from taking further action against the other group. After all, they are just doing it their way. And as long as they are in Texas, I have no leg to stand on.

ROFLMAO....

Damn Craig, your analogies are great.

Especially the "No leg to stand on."

Remember the....:D:D:D

Won't go any further with the analogies.

Just went shoulder to shoulder with a mare, that is apparently on the "woman's problem" thing, to lift up legs and check hoofs...and she didn't have a leg to stand on.

Does that count? :rofl3:

OK, waiting on the deviant people's comments.

Boy am I gonna get in trouble for this post.

You shouldn't talk about your wife that way, Mike.

Thanks. My best guess was Diving In Murky Waters In Texas, but I thought that was too generous given some of the visibiilty levels. :)
