Thanks to everyone for posting their pictures of their housing. I have yet to see one of the bottom of the case. What is providing for mounting? Is it a single 1/4-20 hole? are there multiple holes?

There are two mounting holes on the bottom of the housing.

I don't think some people read the threads, I think I have posted this before, lol, post number 26 of this very thread.

Oh and for the second time, the threads are 1/4 X 20. :)

Thanks, Boyd.

Looks good. I'm not sure how I feel about the padding on those arms, though... I'd think they would absorb too much water, like a sponge. Have you had them down yet? Do they dry out ok?

This approach avoid the issue dhuskins was having with the "lip" on the back from the "drop section", right? (where the camera housing door wouldn't open/close while mounted, post #68)

I take it the camera is simply attached off-center from the normal position, slid closer to the handle, leaving enough room to drill a hole to mount the second handle?

I think you're using these screws from the same vendor to attach the tray to the bottom of the camera, right?

Not exactly my issue. I have the ULCS digital tray as well. I flipped it over so the lip is turned away from the camera. The issue I had was that the door to the housing would scrape against the tray when it was opened.

Problem solved. I took a piece of overhead projector transparency and made a spacer. A single thickness was almost enough. Two pieces of plastic was enough for the housing to sit off the tray that the door no longer scrapes.

Transparency film for a washer, eh? I like it. I may have to steal that idea! :)

It looks like on your tray, the issue was the extension goes UP instead of dropping down (since it's flipped). Is that correct? Minor issue, since a sliver of a spacer apparently fixed it, but just to be clear, that's what the issue was, right?

That's a huge rig for such a tiny camera! LOL

I am going to try and keep mine a little bit, lol, more compact than that, I think :0. When I use two strobes I only have a single arm so when they are parked the strobes are down, not up. Wider is better but it defeats my miniaturization fetish.

Compudude, your custom adapter will come with some knobs. I cut the two pieces of metal, it is just a little piece of bar, but it is to cold to work because the heater in my shop is temporarily non functional. I didn't think you had a housing yet? It ain't fancy but it should work, if you want to use your Ikelite tray.
