just a thought but if that had been a dog that killed three people the state would put the animal down. but the taxes collected fro seaworld will take that option off the table

Would killing the Orca stop their collection of taxes from Seaworld?

A dog is roaming loose, an Orca is only a danger to Seaworld employees that choose to get in or near the water. A dog that can kill a human is a much more dangerous situation in the first place given the relative size differences.

Well...we just had an earthquake in Chile, and the Pacific Ocean is under Tsunami watch...is that going to knock this "killer whale kills trainer" issue off the front page of the news?

Lock Washer

From the article:

But because of the continuing investigation into Brancheau's death, fans had to settle for the whales taking direction from above the surface. Other precautions were obvious, with more staff on hand throughout the stadium and the female trainers tying their hair up in buns. These adjustments will also take effect at the parks in San Diego and San Antonio.

The female staffers are tying their hair up in buns because the trainer that was killed was yanked by her ponytail. Yeah, tying up the hair will solve that problem!

It isn't easy being rational on a topic evoking passion.

i think it is time to start sending the seaworld a message
that we dont like their MIStreatment of these ORCAs
used to sell tickets

they must do tricks in order to get FOOD
if they dont do tricks they also put them in isolation as punishment
or dont feed them

pass the word to
boycott seaworld.....................

and
send emails and letters and phone calls
that say
.....these OCRA whales need to released
back into the wild ?
where they were kidnapped from (captured and sold into bondage)

note
they can be reintroduced when the whales are making their natural journeys in the oceans
with the other groups of whales
at the correct time of year under the same conditions
Much like the sea turtles are put back into the ocean

An ORCA is not a killer

it is a CARNIVORE
it needs to eat

the pressure put on these whales is enourmous
when did it eat last / how many pounds of food did it get/
why was the orca stressed??? should be the investigation

very sad about the death of the trainer
however that wont slow down sea world
and THEIR SELLING TICKETS and the circus act in the water
