Does anyone know how the battery life is suppose to be on the a300cs?

FYI... I have not actually dove with my computer yet. Tonight I got it out to do a pre-dive check for this weekend. Wouldn't you know it the battery in the computer is dead. I did get my tester and check the transmitter batter and it was full. I'm not sure if it was a bad battery or if the computer is eating up battery life in sleep mode?

I am sure this didn't answer the question, but it's just my observation.

I kind of like the blingy look.

Nothing wrong with that...to me it was just too shiny looking, but I might well be in the minority.

Looks like I may have found a replacement for my Uemis - very similar size, screen, easy to read, etc. Waiting to see what the bungie mount looks like and also wish it came in a more stealth black version.

If it's metal, it's probably nice.
If it's plastic with a metallic paint on it that'll eventually chip/peel off and the plastic underneath turns yellow... I'm thinking black stealth plastic would be better too.

I would hope it's metal. My Atom 3.0 is.

Yesterday, I finally did my first dives with my AERIS A300 CS I only made did two dives in shallow water. It was shallow, because the boat I signed up to dive with had a bunch of OW students. However, that gave me a chance to get really familiar with my dive computer.

1. I need a prescription mask to see the second page of dive data while diving underwater. Oi, getting old sucks!

2. Make sure you turn on the Auto-dim feature. The screen can be hard to see in direct sunlight. I even noticed in 30 feet of water that the sun in the water column made it hard to see the screen. Before my second dive I changed my settings to Auto-dim @ 70%, and that seemed to work better.

I also feel that the screen protector can make it a little hard to read the screen as well.

Another diver on the boat also had the same AERIS A300 CS he was having the same issues as I was having, due to sunlight. I think that is something that is or can be inherent with OLED displays.

So far, my over all opinion of the AERIS A300 CS is that it's a great little dive computer. I will say that if you are wearing a thick wet-suit you will definitely need the the wrist band extender. I was wearing a 4/3 yesterday and I was at the last 4 notches on the regular wrist band.

It is a solid piece of stainless -

We looked at a variety of finishes - polished, matte - as well as black. Great feedback - we'll take a look at a future blacked out version -

Thanks for the feedback FyshEye - we've heard this from a few other users and are looking at reformatting the alternate display screen for a future firmware update.

I am really interested in this computer. A two questions:
1. if I don't use transmitter, can the bottom field be configurable to display other information instead of tank pressure and ATR, such as max depth or average depth or water temp?
2. In dive mode or gauge mode, does it display dive time in seconds at all?

1. Not at this time.
2. Gauge Mode displays min/seconds from 0:00 to 9:59 then switches to hr/min when Run Timer is selected (in Gauge, you may select between elapsed time and run timer).

Are these now going to become Oceanic with the lastest news out about Aeris ?

Yes. We're looking to introduce the Oceanic version by September. In the meantime, we'll continue building and supporting the AERIS version.

Are you going to re-brand the Aeris or you are going to come up with a new version with different features for the Oceanic one?

Still waiting on info of bungee/elastic mount... any news on this?
