A few that come to mind are Ginnie Springs, Blue Grotto, Devil's Den, and KP Hole. Most are roughly a 2 hr drive from Jacksonville area but worth a visit.

howdy!

I just moved to Titusville FL and just started on Scuba Board. I joined a local scuba club and the consensus seems to be.... there are 2 general directions to Scuba in FL:

1 Fresh water springs throughout Northern and Central FL.

2 Gulf Stream =
A) Drive south to at least Jupiter, West Palm, etc. for a charter boat
B) further south to John U Lloyd park
C) the Keys, more boats

the rest is ... sketchy / fickle / for the "adventurous"

3 hours to Vero, the start of shore diving.4 to Ft Pierce/Stuart and mostly year round charters.

Offshore is likely a 1 or 2 hour ride to warmer clearer waters.
Welcome,I lived in Texas about an hours walk from the Valhalla missile silo they dive near Abilene and off Ocean Drive in Corpus when I was younger. The diving here is one of the reasons I stayed when the Navy sent me here.
