Hello, I currently dive with split fin open heel fins with boots because I live and primarily dive in New England waters. I am looking for a great performing full foot fin which I can take on warm water vacations. Any recommendations out there? Thanks. DJM
He Bill. We are going to be in Hawaii August 31 - September 15. Looks like I'll just miss you. My flight back to NH departs at 9 pm on the 15th. I dove with Fathom Five five years ago. They were a good shop. Thought I'd try Seasport this time around. Bigger boats, for the Ni'ihau trip and...
Thanks Dave! I have over 100 logged dives, 70% beyond 60 ft. Appreciate the heads up though. By the time I go I should hopefully have finished up my Deco & Advance Nitrox Courses on the Tech side. Finishing my Asst. Instructor course this month. Been diving since 2007 but only got wet once...
Watched Utube Videos on it. Looks cool. Just trying to determine if it with a full day out of the trip. I am doing the Manta Ray Night Dive on the Big Island. My wife is going to snorkel it.
Thanks diversteve. I did. They said they would still be going out. If I do it, it will be on the second Tuesday in September, so hopefully it is still early enough.
Thanks to all. I think I've decided to go with the Sola. I'm an exhibitor at the upcoming Boston Sea Rovers Dive convention and L&M is there as an exhibitor as well. Hoping to maybe get a discount at the show. Either way, I think the Sola is the way I'm going to go. Thanks again.
Hello, My wife and I will be on our 15th wedding anniversary in Hawaii this
September. She is not a diver so usually when I dive she is in a spa. I am
thinking of taking a day and diving Ni'ihau with Seasport Divers. Was wondering
if anyone has dove it before and if it is really "worth"...
Thanks. But looking for more lumens. My back - up is the Big Blue CF-250 and currently my primary is the big and bulky, pistol style grip, Princeton Tec Shockwave LED w/ 400 lumens, so I am looking for at least twice that. For the night and technical diving.
Hello,
Considering investing in a new primary dive light that can be worn on my hand and woujld like to avoid the canaister style. Will be taking the TDI Decompression & Advanced Nitrox Courses this summer but will be primarily a recreational diver who will be finishing up the SSI Dive Control...
Thanks everyone! Much appreciated!! I ended up going with the Recsea, size was definitely a factor, as well as it seems to have greater flexiblity and true wide angle lense as opposed to the Ikelite (so I'm told). As far as the S90, I had already purchased the G11 based on a lot of positive...
I am considering the ikelite u/w housing and the Recsea for my G11. Cost would be a no brainer for the Ikelite but I have the oportunity to get the Recsea for $800 vs. $650 for the ikelite.
Also, a friend purchased the Iklite housing with DS51 Stobe and was not happy with it and ended up...
I ended up going with Ed Robinson's and it was hard choice. Kihea, from my research, has the best dive shops on Maui. There is Prodivers, Ed Severns, & B&B along with Ed Robinson's. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. All highly rated. Let me know who and how it went when you...
That helps to confirm my decision to use Ed Robinson's for Molokini and Extended Horizons for Lanai. Hope those waves disdogs mentioned calm down by February! I would hate to feel like I'm diving New England waters down there. :-)
