In Search of a small Titanium BC Knife- anybody know of any?

    Ocean Master titaium knifes

Yes I have, but I don't do much beach diving so I tend to collect less stuff in my equipment. The few times I did, it did collect a nice amount of sand under the cap. Don't forget you can take the front appart, and remove the blade from the handle.

    Spyderco Remote Release

It doesn't really matter what kind of stainless it is, sooner or latter you are going to get rust. Just make sure you get it salt free after your dive and there shouldn't be any problems. If you want no rust go titanium.

    Ribbit?

We do all our training diving classes out at Lake Meade in NV. I know exactly what you are talking about witht he viz as the bottoms in most places has a 6 inch to a foot layer of silt and plant matter settled on it. It's so deep in spots you can actually swim through the junk on the bottom...

    Ribbit?

Nope haven't been wreck diving, maybe next year. I kind of figured that is was for silt/overhead issues. Is there any other uses for that kick? It just seems that everyone unfairly bashing the hell out of them for all uses. Seems to me more of "back in my day that's when divers were...

    Ocean Master titaium knifes

I haven't had any problems with corrosion with the end cap. I would be interested as well if they have a titanium cap for it now.

    Split fin technique

Yes, a shorter flutter kick tends to work well. A wider kick will work too when taking off, but keep it smooth and steady.

    Ribbit?

So what exactly is the big deal with wanting to be able to frog kick. I've gleaned from the various posts that it kicks up less silt and I guess helps your legs from cramping. Is that or am I missing something. I love my TUSA's and have had none of the problems that everyone seems to put to...

    Best knive metal?

Titanium of course. The more expensive the better. That way I can stop finding cheap corroded stainless blades on the bottom.

    Knife location?

Blunt tip blade with seration and a line cutter on one side, edge on the other. That one goes on the inner calf, too much kelp where I dive. Small blade in a pocket or mounted on the inflater hose of the BC. Eventually I plan on picking up some shears to carry as well. Would be better...

    Spyderco Remote Release

I've taken my Spiderco Delica (15 years old) dive on occation after I forgetiing my dive knife. The pointy tip is not that big of a deal. You just have to be more carefull with it so you don't poke anything important (such as yourself or your BC) with it. Corrosion should be an issue, though...

Mask with PURGE or NO PURGE ??

I have an oceanic mask with the purge valve. It's nice but part of the valve has hard plastic as part of its assembly. If I squeeze my nose to help clear the ears when they are being a little stubborn then that hard plastic jabs into by skin just above the lip. Not the most comfortable...

    Tusa X-Pert Zoom

Forgot to add, yes they are quite speedy. Whether on the surface or submerged. Sometime for fun I'll do laps in the pool with them. You will kick up a nice wake and start rising out of the water once you get up to steam. Makes the kids giggle. Take it easy.

    Tusa X-Pert Zoom

Hi there Babelfish, I've had my pair for about 50 dives now and like them alot. They put alot less wear and tear on your ankles and won't wear you out as quickly. They produce forward motion through a combination of thrust and lift, much in the way a fish tail does. You will have to kick...
