Thanks! Glad you liked it. No lights, and not necessarily shallow water. I figured out the key to good color was to constantly white balance--it is a PIA but it does make a huge difference.

You prep the camer before the dive, once this is done you can easily get to to it during the dive, you get used to it but initially it is a pain. I'll let you know the exact sequence when I get the camera in hand later this evening.

Mostly on full auto here, hence the searching that is apparent in some of the video...I've got that worked out for the future...used the telemacro function in the garden eel shot. Very cool feature, probably should have used it in the pederson cleaning shrimp shot as well...

Thanks for the compliments, using combo of MWB and CC filter, found myself with some very red Horse-Eye Jacks in a few shots at the end of the dive because I didn't have anything close enough to white balance with (slate was on the boat) was able to take most of the red out in post though.

From my understanding you can "manually white balance" just about any camera at any depth by turning it off an on--this will activate the auto white balance feature if it is set that way (just aim it at the sand after turning it on). I may be wrong but this is generally same thing that manually...

Ok, Some considerations - to take into account. Hard Drive space and ram are going to be critical for you. If you can get a dual processor blue and white G4 I say go for it. If you can't get a dp then get a G4 minimally, then scrape and save to get a new fast (7200 rpm at least) HD and at...
