    very displeased DG03 owner

just to add to what rhwestfall said, Hollis (Nick) isn't the quickest to post here on scubaboard, but for the most part when people have had issues he does do his best to remedy the situation. I've even seen him recommend calling Hollis direct and asking to speak to him. I'm still curious...

what depth are you noticing this difference? and what computer are you comparing readings against?

    Hollis Ride vs. BP/wing differences

The way I have my SS BP set up it is 7 lbs negative. so in your example, you would need no extra lead when diving just a 3mm wetsuit. however when diving the RIDE you would need to add that lead either through a weight belt or integrated weights. As far as the ride goes I've tried two different...

    Hollis Ride vs. BP/wing differences

I have a Hollis BP+W, and a Hollis RIDE. Just to add a little to what Victor and Agility have already said. The wing of the RIDE is not modular. It is attached to the softplate. To put it simply think about a regular donut wing, increase the width of the wing itself, and stiffen the inner...

    DG03 Update Problem

Is this a problem that just started up or did you just download the software and get this error message? If you just loaded the software I'd recommend uninstalling it, and re-downloading it directly from the Hollis site. Also I don't know if this could be an issue of USB drivers, so I'd...

My indepth review of the Hollis NeoTek Semi-Dry

I haven’t had any issue with the hood on the NeoTek, which is kinda odd since I’m not a big fan of hoods in general. Before the NeoTek it had to be REALLY cold for me to bother with a hood. That being said, the seal on the NeoTek is pretty robust in my experience. I’ve used my...

My indepth review of the Hollis NeoTek Semi-Dry

I don't have any experience with the Aqualung suit so I cant really compare the two, but I'm a huge fan of the NeoTek suit. It has kept me from going out and investing in a dry-suit. the thigh pockets are large enough to hold my shears and wetnotes, and still have room to stow my GoPro whenever...

    Hollis S38 Wing Shrinking Problem

Really? I don't think thats what their trying to say..... the way I take it Hollis is offering to take the part back for evaluation, and correct the matter from there. (through credits or replacement) I wouldn't recommend doing anything to modify the wing yourself, at least not at first. If I...

    Hollis S38 Wing Shrinking Problem

hmm... that's the first time I've heard of something like that....I think Nick or someone at Hollis would be able to answer that for you but its kinda hit or miss on how long it might take for them to look on here....your best bet would probably be to try calling Hollis directly at (510)...

My indepth review of the Hollis NeoTek Semi-Dry

I haven't heard of putting a pee valve in a semi-dry, but I'd imagine it could be done.... that being said I wouldn't recommend christening this suit either, from what I've experienced, the water exchange is very small, and I've had dives where the underarmor I wear under the suit never got wet...

My indepth review of the Hollis NeoTek Semi-Dry

yes, IMO forget the large size, just cause you can squeeze into it doesn't mean it will be comfortable..... as for your legs, it might just make it trickier to put on the suit, but you should be fine...as long as dont have popeye the sailor type legs..... if you do just avoid cans of spinach...

My indepth review of the Hollis NeoTek Semi-Dry

Hollis Gear looking at the sizing chart your height fits the XL, but your weight falls into the XXL size... I'd recommend measuring your chest, waist, and hips and see which of the two you'd fit into better. The NeoTek sizing charts are different than other suits, for example I wear a XL in...

    MAC compatible HCI?

Ediverlog is the new software for all AUP dive computers. It was on display during DEMA, and I was told it should work for ALL existing and future AUP dive computers.

Hollis LED Mini 3 - Serviceable?

I'd call Hollis direct and talk to someone in the service department.....I have heard about some flooded lights being replaced for relatively little charge. their number is: (510) 729-5110

    what you think?

lol...I guess spell check took what I meant to say and elaborated a little.... I haven't had a chance to get it wet. I pretty much just put it back together and snapped some shots before heading down to DEMA...

    what you think?

I had it airbrushed....aiming for a old rusty metal riveted together kind of look....its defiantly different and at this point I like it.

    what you think?

love it? or do you hate it?.....personally I still don't know if it will hold up, but love how it came out anyways.

    Weight plates

not from Hollis, but the XS scuba V-weight, and the Oxycheq weight sausage both would work for adding additional weight to any Hollis BP. they bolt to the plate using the same bolts that hold on a STA.

    Hollis DG05 low price?

Hey Victor, I wish I was an employee of Hollis, then I could forget all about this engineering crap…lol but yes, in the interest of full disclosure I did receive a discount on my purchase as I was DM’ing for a Hollis dealer at the time. While the discount definitely helped with my...

    Hollis DG05 low price?

The price drop in the DG05 is primarily because it is no longer in production. I’ve been diving one for a little over a year and a half now and its always worked fine for me. My primary reason for buying one was the OLED screen. Most of my diving is in low to no vis. waters looking for...
