Had a fantastic day on Khao San yesterday but feeling the effects today. A night off and then back out to enjoy the action tomorrow. Happy Songkran!

My dives 5 & 6 were done with strong current and some down current. Although it made a very quick learning curve I wouldn't recommend it, I'm making a point of making sure my next 20 odd dives are a lot more straight forward so I can just gain confidence.

I had four people on my course. 4 Days, 3 theory sessions, one long pool session (full afternoon) and the 4 dives. My girlfriend didn't pay for a private course but got either and instructor & divemaster or instructor and trainee instructor to herself for the whoel course over the same schedule.

Not a lot to add other than even on a non-diving note I enjoyed the Philippines as much as anywhere, if not more than anywhere in SE Asia. Great diving too though!

That's my point I don't want to stay in the south and travel for dives but just turn up whenever and book with someone. I was wondering whether some of the better known shops have offices around the island. Thanks for the help.

So most of you stay around the south and book your diving from there and just travel of the day? We were thinking of making our own way around the island, any idea on the quality of the dive shops if we were to just turn up in Tulamben for example? Like to keep our plans open is all, not book...

Thanks guys. It seems like Tulamben is a must then. During the three weeks I'd imagine we'd hit at least 6 or so places (not all for diving) so I'll take these into account and try and come up with something.
