    Tipping instructor?

For the discussion on tipping, i guess most of the instructor and DM's are not expecting tips so it will really be up to the individual customer whether to tip or not. What i would like to clarify, at least in the context of where i stay and dive, is that we instructor are not paid fixed...

BP/W or Knighthawk for beginner AOW

Guess you forget that the more you dive, the better you become. So the better trim could be due to the dives he clocked during the trip.......instead of the equipment.... just wondering....

    buying new equipment

What he means is that dive gears usually cost a bomb to purchase. Back to the topic. If you intend to travel a lot. It will be better to get the named brands like Scuba Pro (as an example and the parts are mroe readily available for it) for ease of repair or finding replacement parts...

possible for reg to blow up underwater?

I have personally seen first stage fail underwater. The point of failure is the high pressure seat in the first stage. This can happen to a lot of used/ rental/ unserviced reg. Which makes sense to us that dives a lot to get it serviced every year. When the failure occur, your first stage...

    Triggerfish Attack Head Count

Titan triggers are a common sight in Pulau Tioman,Malaysia. where i go diving almost every weekend. They are very aggrressive during breeding season. When out of season, they are usually quite safe. The worst result of titan trigger attack i saw is a 7 stitch on the forehead of a fellow DM...

    Water in BC

There will always be a little water in your BC and it is not dangerous. They can come in via your inflator when you deflate or your dump valve or even when you oral inflate after you surface from a dive( still in water). It will still be ok unless you discover a lot of water in your BCS...
