If you practice your drills regularly and correctly, then any "real emergency" should just be another drill.

Since diet and exercise was not an acceptable short term solution by lowering my sac rate (long term solution), I purchased steel tanks to solve this problem. LP 108's normal fill at +10% is 2640psi. Many tech dive shops will fill to 3000psi if you request, which will provide approximately 125...
There isn't a best. If you own it, use it and ensure no leaks, then you are the only one to decide. Personally, I use a 30# Oxycheq for warm water diving in South Florida. No STA required.
Dive safe.
Note to self- Buy my own quality regs for solo diving. See above as to why renting gear is not a good idea.:shakehead:
Glad to hear things turned out ok.

We have limited diving in Orlando, so I like to vacation way up North most weekends in cave country or way down South with the natives in Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale. :D

I was handed the black out mask...

First, I must say how cool it is that you and your son get to dive together. These will definitely be lasting memories.
Regarding the science project, I would have used a graduated cyliner or had markings on the jug to know specifically how much air (volume) is contained per trial run at...
If you didn't watch the video, you missed the point of this post. The video is a clear example of why scuba lessons and basic techniques are required before CCR. I can't imagine seeing more divers with this level of "training". The diver in the video clearly did not have any pool work before...
