I've posted before about some specific cold spots while diving dry and have pretty much linked it to moisture/wetness due to sweat or sweat condensation accumulating on my wicking base layer.

Was just thinking that perhaps my 1.5 mm neoprene vest worn over my wicking layer will eliminate the "conductive" heat loss, which I suspect is the reason for those cold spots.

I realize that the neoprene won't breath and my wicking layer will get wetter, but, frankly, I sweat so much that my wicking layer is always wet after a few dives. Consequently I'm not worrying about that for now.

Anyone else wearing neoprene in some form as an undergarment? If so, How do you like it and how could it be improved?
