oops.. you're right. i did forget to mention the fact that CHS does not correct it's publications for daylight savings time. a big oversight on my behalf when i made the post (have no fear... it is mentioned in my Tides & Current's crs.. the one that I haven't been able to locate in hard or soft copy since I mentioned it the other day :p)

I use a really good prediction website... http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/sitesel.html
this site adjusts it's prediction times to account for daylight savings.. and is usually within a few minutes and decimals of knots (or inches of height of tide) when compared to the CHS publications... and on top of that.. it's free :)

using the sight... it's Race -15min year round.. :)

happy diving..
Navy Doll ... who saw a dog fish, an octo and 2 grunt sculpins at the inlet yesterday!!

ChillyWaters:
I realize you probably meant this, but I wasn't aware the current tables ignore daylight savings time.

Cheers,
ChillyWaters
Unless you are looking at "Ports and Passes". The tables are the same, but they are corrected for daylight savings time. If you forget your tables and ask to look at someone else's they may give you the Ports and Passes version (Ogden Point Dive Center for example, or me), so don't add an hour to that one. Ah, yes. Daylight Savings Time. I'm suprised that concept is still around.
