What a story--once in a lifetime, really. That must have been dreamlike . . .
 
I brought a beautiful chocolate colored cowry from Fiji for a friend who has a shell collection. Fiji has the same rule, no take, as in marine reserves.

Its the only thing I brought. Hid it in my B/C pocket. Made me feel like a pirate. Love that pirate feeling! [The pirate flag avatar is not available until you have 5000 posts. :( ]

I noticed practically everyone else on the trip showing off their shell souvenirs too.

Reminds me of an old saying from college days: Some laws were meant to be broken.
