I currently use about 28 pounds to get down diving a cf200 with polortec 300 thermals in the puget sound with PST E100 tank. I figure over time I'll get that down to the 18-20 pound range, but for now it seems to be 28 pounds.

If I use a standard 6# plate with a 5# STA, and then put the remaining 17# on my belt, is all of that weight on my belt likely to screw up my trim? Do I need to get more of it to my plate area?

Thanks,

-k

You'll probably get 20 replies and 20 different opinions but there really are too many variabes for a one size fits all answer.

You just need to try it and see.

Personally, I don't have any problem with 15 pounds or so in a weight belt.
