Accommodation in Ambon?

Patra homestay is indeed very basic but clean and not that bad, at least have an aircon, hot shower and plenty of space to unwind.

The nice thing with DIA, you have the "choice" for muck diving and corals (which is very nice, I love pintu kota and hukurila cave)
We stayed in DIA new resort end of Dec. 2016 - lovely resort though still not 100% complete.

Even though we (Dive Into Ambon) are based in Baguala Bay we still dive Laha or the Pantai Nama side of Ambon Bay every other day. Of course the muck diving in Ambon Bay is fantastic, but the 'coral' side, the south and east coats of Ambon, where we dive on the days we don't go to Laha, are amazing. Clear water and you still get critters, including critters you don't get in Laha. And you also get a cave with stalactites and flashlightfish, Pintu Kota, Hukurila Caves, Hard Boiled (boil eggs at 25m underwater) and the sites are great for wide angle or macro. Plus, this is where we found the most recent Psychedelic Frogfish.

Our resort is lovely, fantastic views, away from all the noise of Ambon Bay and Laha.
