not sure where to post this

i bought a pair of used fins with the dive shop's number painted in white.

what's the best way to take that paint off without damaging the fins?

thanks in advance.

A fiber bristle type sanding wheel and a hand drill.
. . . just one suggestion.

Sometimes rubbing alcohol and scrubbing with something soft will get it off. Sometimes nail polish remover (acetone).

ditto on the above - turpentine will do it too.

You can try Mr. Cleans Magic eraser - works like a charm on slates!!!

wow that was fast...

thanks all!

ok, the deed is done (after borrowing nail-polish remover from my wife)

the fins look great

...paint over it in black...or yellow....or paint them all white.

awesome idea!! alas, i read it too late. i could have painted tiger stripes, or
orange flames... oh the humanity!

or pink! :D
NO wait, its green for you!

you know, it ain't easy being green...

:33:

But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree
.

I say just take a saw/knife to them and cut off the offending parts with the numbers on!
