I read about this in the news today, but better - just got this in an email from Delta. I have not looked at the TSA site lately...
Airport Security Rules Have Changed
Follow revised security guidelines to make your upcoming travel experience as easy as possible
Effective September 26, the Transportation Security Administration has adjusted its ban on liquids, aerosols and gels.
You may now carry on travel-size toiletries (three ounces or less) in one-quart, plastic, zip-top bags. These bags must be removed from carry-on luggage and screened separately at security checkpoints.
After clearing security, beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area such as duty-free items may be brought onboard. (Okay, duty free booze is back in bussiness.)
In addition, the following substances in amounts exceeding three ounces must be declared at checkpoints for additional screening:
Baby formula
Liquid medications
Diabetic glucose treatments
Also, please review the current Guidelines for packing checked baggage. And remember to label your luggage inside and out with your current contact information.
Visit Flight Status & Updates for the latest information on Delta flights. And thank you for your cooperation and patience!
