Steel HP120, AL BP, STA, 7mm wetsuit, I am 2lbs. negative in fresh water.

Need to add 6-8lbs for saltwater. Ditchable weight in salt water= 4lbs-6lbs. Water temps 50-65 degrees.

I think you could be overweighted depending on your body type.
I do not have a lot of fat.... but not skinny either. I am around 7lbs -10 lbs. over my ideal/best weight. I have quite a lot of muscle (heavier and sinks).

If you have a lot of body fat..... you may be fine. If you are muscular and trim..... you could be negative..... or have VERY little ditchable weight.

I say take an aluminum with you. But that is just my opinion.

Juls....If you ever come down to visit the NJ Casinos.....give me a yell. I can loan you an Aluminum BP for your vacation.

I guess I should try a trip to casinos some day - might win some money to buy more scuba gear..:)

I don't have much body fat (I am slim and tall), but I have natural positive buoyancy in both fresh and salt water..

I guess I am not that worried about being overweight in salt water. The biggest concern is diving cenotes.
