We have a liberal gun policy in the Metro area. Windsor is right across the river and I think they may have had one gun incident last year. I believe Detroit has one every hour. Canadians seem to have it right. This has nothing to do with Cayman., just stirring up the pot. Feel free to travel to Cayman, you won't appear on an episode of "locked-up Abroad" Cheers

Cayman, with a very small population compared to the UK or US, can have its stats tremendously skewed by a relatively small number of events.

The murder rate cited for Cayman is from the year 2009, with an unusually high number of killings, eight in total. It was a result of a several years spike in gang related killings. The homicide rate has since dropped by more than half, returning to a more typical level.

2008 - 7 murders
2009 - 8 murders
2010 - 7 murders
2011 - 6 murders
2012 - 1 murder
2013 - 4 murders
2014 - 3 murders
