I got a picture of my leg...
Actually, it's 'cause I only really have one decent picture of myself
in a digital format, and I can't seem to figure out where I stuck the
thing. I've been searching for it for a week!

My new computer doesn't seem to want to recognize my old scanner....
Any computer whiz's out there want to offer suggestions?
At start-up, we get a message indicating it can't locate the scanner. If there is one thing I wish I had spent more time on in my not-all-that-distant-youth, it's practical computer courses! (Are there such things?!?)

You will have to load all of the software that originally came with the scanner onto your new computer's hard drive. (Hopefully, you kept the CD or diskettes that were in the box with the scanner).
The s/w might "auto-start" or you might have to go to the "add/remove hardware" icon on your "control panel" or "my computer" screen.
Otherwise, you might be able to go the the web site of the co. that made your scanner, and download software from them.

... but I'm not quite THAT PC illiterate. The software is all there, it just can't seem to find the port the scanner is connected to, or can't find the scanner at that port. Not really sure at this point, just bummed that y'all can't see some of my nice Tahiti pictures!
