Most of the locals there dive Morro Rock and Montana del Oro beach
I live in SLO, and there are quite a few spots to dive. Some are better than others. Target Rock in Morro Bay, is consistently a good spot if you hit the tide right. Montana De Oro has some incredible sea life, but conditions are really hit and miss. For students, Port San Luis offers a great protected spot. I am always looking for dive buddies, so if you are in the area, drop me a line!
