The only thing I found confusing is that if you get to the dock early nobody knows anything. There are 3 boats that you can go out on. There is a little office on the dock and they will tell you what boat you are assigned to. So from there you are on your own until the Captain shows up.

The Captains first order of business is to get his crew organized. The same crew does not go out together all the time. They use a lot of parttimers.

So once you find your boat get on and put all of your dive gear in one of the compartment under a seat. Don't be territorial because you WIll be sharing this compartment with someone else. No dive gear goes below.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that it may be a good six hours between the time they say you can board the boat and the time they start thinking about sailing. So relax. Put you stuff on the boat. Dive gear under the seat. Then go down to the little store. Get somthing to drink and watch the local fisherman coming in to buy bait and gas. The store is a story in of itself.
