Peter McGuinness:The sucking disk in the first picture identifies it as a type of snailfish, but further than that, I can't go. How long was this fish, it looks about 12 inches which means it could be a lobefin or a marbled snailfish. I am depending entirely on my field guide (peterson) since I have never personally seen one of those before.
