Not to beat a dead horse, but could it be aluminum? It sure feels much lighter (and warmer to the touch) than the knob on my 50.

SeaJay,

It's plated brass. Have a look at the second stage diagrams on your website for the ATX200 - the internal end of the knob is the same as on the ATX50. It's matt plated brass, just like the ATX200 heat exchanger, and ATX200 1/2" hose end fittings, which also feel warmer to the touch than shiny chrome.

Dead horse - your flogging is complete.

The ATX200 is like "contemporary art,"

I have to agea with Seajay on this one. The first time i seen the ATX 200 i know that was the reg for me. It has a look nice enoght to place on a well like it was a Vango and it breaths as good as it looks also. Sorry for getting off the topic was just happy to see some one else finds that the ATX 200 first stage is a pece of art.:)
