We then moved over to dive The Gravelloader. As usual not a lot till we got out to the end pylons where the schools of Old Wives and Pufferfish hung around making a magical scene. I love this dive and every time I do it I tell myself I won't wait so long to come back. We also saw a Wobby and Eagle Ray

Well I've been a bit lax about posting but been out for a few more dives since the last time I posted. Did one dive last weekend 152mins so my longest dive yet! The water was the warmest I have experienced in Melbourne at 23C. If I had known this in advance I would have bought my 3mm wetsuit rather than my drysuit which I had (was supposed to do a deeper dive earlier on with twins so wore that, but had lots of gear problems so gave it a miss but was stuck in my drysuit). Also did a night dive at Mornington Pier though the week which was really quite boring for the first half (rare for me to be bored on a dive) but things started happening towards the end and it ended up decent :)

Flounder - don't they have the most hysterical faces!

Petunia I know you're diving a lot, keep them coming! And hope everyone else will too, it's summer so warm water now :)

We got a decent dive yesterday afternoon.... here are a couple of my favorite shots

Love the pics and the video. That is one determined boxfish in that video. I love the silhouette shot of the leatherjacket fish and nudis!!! Gotta make a stop in OZ to visit you.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Sam.. we would love to show you the local dive sites any time :D

Sas great shots and I love the one with the diver and the pufferfish!

I got out for a night dive this week on Wednesday. We went to Mornington Pier and had quite a big turnout. There was me, Michael, burna, lucas* (he's on Scubaboard doesn't post much), and two others from my dive club. I ended up doing a solo dive as I had to head back for more weight, and never found my buddy again when I jumped back in though he was practicing for trimix and had four tanks so figured he'd be ok  We were going to split up during the dive anyway when he went off for some skills. The water was nice and warm at 21C and I got 80mins in. I would have preferred longer but was using up the rest of the air in the twins I had on loan and didn't have enough gas!

I found a goblinfish, quite rare, and was on one of my things to find in 2010 as I'd only seen one before.

WARNING - ugliest fish ever. This is a Common Gunard Perch and it was HUGE compared to the others I've seen. It looked in bad nick too so I think it was on its last legs :(

I figured the others had been past this bit

REALY  what gave you that idea:rofl3:

nice shots Sas .. as usual... We dived Shelly today.. couldn't find your pineapple fish... found the spot but maybe they have moved to another ledge .. next time we will have a more serious search. WE got to the spot 90 minutes into the dive so didn't want to stay long enough to really search under all the ledges:blinking:

Oh hope you can find them next time :) How was Shelly? Sounds like a good dive if you got at least 90mins in :)
