Depending on your diving, you may not need any extra thermal protection. I have a new Arctic (only a few dives on it), but was quite comfy last fall at 58 degrees and 80 feet in Long Island. -- get it in black. I can't speak to quality as it is my first 7mm.

I like this suit. let me add the new shoulder protection is usless as my old suit never freyed over 100 dives. What it needs is better knee pads as my knee areas got ripped up on the mussels during our rough exits. I had to glue my own knee pads on it.

The neoprene will harden after 3 years of a lot of use. The velco tab in the back of the neck needs to be pointed down at an angle to seal the neck and not straight across for me as it is designed to do.

Suit is nice though. I give ot 3-1/2 stars out of 5
