There is a group that dives every Saturday at Vet's Park in Redondo Beach. The same group (more or less) is at Marinland every Sunday morning. A few of them dive Marinland both days You "dive buddy problem" is solved if yu like these two dive sites (Pm for details)
Actually I just happen to be diving up near Malibu Sat morning but I'm with a class. The LA County ADP program will have about 30 divers a Nicholas Canyon
Generally, it's pretty easy to find someone to dive with in this forum.
It just looks like a lot of us aren't diving this weekend.
Maybe some people will decide this evening to dive tomorrow.
