I too am resurrecting this old thread to see what are the latest and greatest suggestions for an emergency strobe light.
Just started using these: Stroboskop - Trojan. I have used them once at 210ft and I was on a dive at about 420ft where they were in use (hence why I bought them). Very impressive. About 3- 4 times brighter than the Jotron's ,Panasonic lithium rechargeable batteries, made in Poland, cost me about €170 each which is about 190 dollars.
