I was swimming at the boat ramp at sakonnet point last night (8/10/2010) and saw the same fish. There were two of them that stayed together all the time and kept following me quite aggressively and even allowed me to touch them. I grew up on the bay and have never seen these fish before. Approx 6 inches long, slender bodies, black with horizontal white stripes the length of their bodies. Would love to know what they were.
