This past Saturday at Crescent Bay, there was a boat just past the surf a bit, well within 100 feet of shore. Jsut a short swim to him and a short chat and he moved off dead slow. He was fishing in close proximity to swimmers, and lots of divers with at least 5-7 divers in full gear with tanks on walking on the sand in plain view. What an idiot.

I saw a REALLY nice 32 foot yacht in the shallows between the exposed reef and the apartments between Divers Cove and Boat Canyon once. I was amazed that they hadn't bottomed out and I wanted to yell to them, but the wreck diver in me wanted to keep silent and wait for my next shallow wreck dive to appear. :D
They were able to negotiate a path out of there. Oh well. Better luck next time.

*in a Napoleon Dynamite voice* FREAKIN' IIIIDIOT!

Looks like I may have misunderstood the Asst Harbor Master's comment yesterday. The 300 ft from mean high tide line limit applies to the Lover's Cove reserve, not the rest of the coastline.
