Can you cut and hem SharkSkin gear?

I have the Chillproof Titanium pants but they are a touch too long. Can I cut them and hem them up so they fit better or will this ruin them? Does anyone have any experience with this?

While it isn't SharkSkin, I have a friend that had some Lava Core altered. She used a tailor to do the alterations. The materials should behave similarly.

Why not give them a call or email? Their customer service seem super friendly when I've spoken to them.
