I am looking at getting a housing form my A620. I looked at the canon housings and noticed the large white area that takes up the upper right corner of the housing (over the flash). Does this block the flash? tone it down? magnify it? etc...? In other words, can I still use the internal flash or would I need to get a strobe? Also does anyone have pictures from their A620 without using any special added gear (strobe, red filter, etc...)

Thanks for the help!

check my gallery for some pics.. they were shot with the canon housing and using the internal flash only. the piece you are talking about is the flash difuser, it is used to prevent backscatter in your pictures.

and it's not permanently mounted
