I'm considering buying the Ikelite DS-125 to go with the above set up. Is anyone using this setup & do you have photos to share? I've never used a strobe before & I'm a little nervous about using it for the first time & getting good pics. I've always used the onboard flash with my G2, but the G9 definitely needs a strobe due to the smaller & narrower size of it's flash.

Thanks.

I am still learning, however, I have posted some photos in my gallery in the Socorro file. We have just returned from Cocos where it was a little more challenging with only one strobe. I ended up taking a lot of video.

the more light you can have, the better. also, if you shoot macro, it helps to get even lighting with strobes placed close to the lens.
