Caribbean side of Costa Rica- suggestions

Hi, all! Got addicted to Costa Rica and want to combine it with snorkeling/diving. Anyone have ideas about what is best month to visit caribbean side of Costa rica for ocean conditions for snorkeling and diving. Favorite lodging with air conditioning? How are the bugs?
