sounds like a great place. how far is it back to town? Is there any other restaurants close?

It's an easy 30 minute walk, or a $4 taxi ride to town. The only restaurant close is the Hogtown Cafe just to the south, but it has limited hours as well. Your best bet is to eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel, then go into town for supper.

$4.00 cab ride into town- but for some reason we were getting charged different rates... Sometimes it was $4.00, $3.60, $5.00 ?? Not far, can walk - but its hot  & im a wuss

It depends on how many people are in the cab. One or two is the same price, but more than that it goes up. It also sometimes depends on how much of a newbie the cab driver thinks you are... ;^)

We stayed there for the first time this May and have decided that Caribe Blu is our new Cozumel home.

We also enjoyed diving with Blue Angel, very good op, dove with almost all the DM's throughout the week and all did a wonderful job. Having the dive op right on the property is a great advantage also. we will definately be using them also.

I just booked it for the week of Oct. 28.
